Central Regionals Recap

Central Regionals went down over the weekend in Louisville, Kentucky, with a great showing from the Mitten State. Wrestlers that place top-6 at Central Regionals qualify for the 16U or Junior National Championships in Fargo later this Summer.

DCC had a great tournament with 7 individual placers (Boller, Gregory, Roche, C. Krueger, Lees, Fuchs, Murray). Boller, Gregory, and Roche all placed in both styles, with Gregory joining Nick Sorrow (Hudson) as double champs for Michigan. Roche was also a greco champ. Lowell had 4 individual placers (C. Blum, B. Meeuwsen, Segorski, and McKay), with Carson Blum placing in both freestyle and greco, including winning greco.

Other champs for Michigan included Kyle Malloy (16U FR), Kaili Manuel (16U FR and JR FR), Cheyenne Frank (JR FR), Belicia Manuel (JR FR), Maddie Hayden (JR FR), Halle Spears (JR FR), Matthew Quigley (JR GR), Austin Gyorkos (JR GR), Jay'Den Williams (JR GR), and Michael Baldwin (JR GR).

While scoring was not official, Michigan Premier WC had an outstanding tournament, placing 5th across all clubs, including youth through high school. Michigan Premier finished just ahead of Burnett Trained Wrestling, who had more entries.
