MI Grappler Preseason Challenge set for November 9th in Brighton

Michigan Grappler is excited to announce the launch of a brand new pre-season event right before the start of the season.

The Michigan Grappler Pre-Season Challenge will be a great convenient opportunity to get some quality matches in before the season gets underway and a great platform to launch the new season's Michigan Grappler rankings before official competition begins.

The Grappler Preseason Challenge is being hosted at the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, conveniently located just off US-23 near the I-96 intersection.

All athletes must have current USAW memberships for the 2025-26 season to compete.

Date: Sunday, November 9th, 2026

Wrestling begins at 10:00am
Doors Open 9:00am

Entry Fee: $50

All athletes must have current 25-26 USAW membership

Spectator Admission: $10 adult / $5 student / Kids 5 & under free

Divisions & Weights:
High School Boys: 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285

High School Girls: 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 235

Middle School: 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 120, 130, 145, 170, 250

Format: Double Elimination brackets.  Round robin pool if 5 wrestlers or less.  Standard high school rules will be enforced for all divisions.

High School:
2-2-2 Championship matches
(1-2-2 consolation)

Middle School: 1:30-1:30-1:30 periods (all matches)

1. Saturday 11/8, 4:00-6:00pm @ MI Grappler Wrestling School (10595 E Grand River, Brighton, MI)
2. Sunday 11/9, 8:00-9:00am @ Legacy Center
